Manufacturer part number: 76AA002. The model represents the British Rail Blue livery used before the introduction of TOPS.
The original Austin A40 MkII was launched in 1961 with a 948 cc engine. In autumn 1962 the engine was replaced by a larger 1098 cc unit developing 48 bhp, the same powerplant as the then‑new Morris 1100. Over 170,000 examples were built and the car cost approximately GBP700 at the time.
This die‑cast version depicts the Panda Police specification, finished in the characteristic white and blue colour scheme that was popular with police forces throughout the United Kingdom.
