The Ford Motor Company launched their Ford Anglia 105E in 1959, representing the 4th generation of the marque. Its unique features included a backward slanting rear window and despite its unusual shape, it generated over a million sales from the Dagenham plant. Options included 2-door saloon, 3-door estate and a 2-door van.
Oxford’s choice is the 2-door family saloon version and for this release in a superb deep blue, it is registered 579 DYP. The interior is a contrasting Wedgwood blue with a white steering wheel. The exterior trim is silver, including a silver line along the waist, which looks really good against the dark blue body. The wheels and radiator grille are also silver and the Anglia De Luxe branding is printed across the boot. A streak of red on the front of the bonnet rounds off a striking little model.

Oxford Diecast Ford Anglia Ambassador Blue is a 1:43 scale model produced by Oxford Diecast. The model carries the manufacturer part number 76105011 and represents the Ford Anglia 105E as it appeared in British Rail Blue livery before the introduction of TOPS.
The die‑cast car is a two‑door family saloon, accurate to the 1959 launch of the fourth‑generation Anglia. It is finished in a deep blue body with contrasting Wedgwood‑blue interior, a white steering wheel and silver trim, including a silver waist line, silver wheels, a silver radiator grille and the “Anglia De Luxe” badge on the boot. A thin red stripe decorates the front of the bonnet.
The vehicle is registered 579 DYP and is intended to replica the original Anglia’s distinctive backward‑slanting rear window and its other period‑specific details.
