The NCE DCC Meter – Volt/Amp Meter and Packet Analyser (part number 524‑0326) is a compact device measuring 5 × 1 × 2.5 cm. It connects directly to the model railway track and provides two primary monitoring functions.

The voltmeter function measures DCC supply voltage up to 25 V, while the amp meter function measures current up to 11.5 A. In packet analyser mode the unit displays DCC command‑station packets on a computer screen, allowing users to filter idle, reset, accessory, function and speed packets. The analyser is opto‑isolated to prevent ground loops, draws power from the track (no external supply required), and can present data in hexadecimal or verbose format.

To operate in packet analyser mode a PC, Mac or Linux computer and a USB cable are required; these items are not supplied with the device. The unit is suited for hobbyists who need real‑time voltage, current and data monitoring of DCC systems.
