The Consett Ore wagon was built for the conveyance of iron Ore from Tyne Dock to Consett specially constructed wagons of 56 tons capacity have been provided. Each wagon is fitted with the vacuum automatic brake and four power-operated side discharge doors which are under the control of the train locomotive driver.

KR Models Set of three Consett iron ore wagons – Pack I (with load) is a model railway collection representing British Railways in the Late Crest era. The set carries the manufacturer part number KRM-CON-OO-3I.
The wagons are scale replicas of the 56‑ton capacity Consett ore wagons that conveyed iron ore from Tyne Dock to the steelworks at Consett. Each wagon is modelled with a vacuum automatic brake and four power‑operated side discharge doors, which in the prototype were controlled from the locomotive driver’s cab. The wagons were used with Q7, 9F and later Class 24 diesel locomotives.
