The Consett Ore wagon was built for the conveyance of iron Ore from Tyne Dock to Consett specially constructed wagons of 56 tons capacity have been provided. Each wagon is fitted with the vacuum automatic brake and four power-operated side discharge doors which are under the control of the train locomotive driver.

KR Models Set of three Consett Iron Ore Wagons – Pack G (with load). The wagons are supplied in a weathered finish and carry the manufacturer part number KRM‑CON‑OO‑3G‑W. They represent the British Railways Late Crest period.
Each wagon was designed for the transport of iron ore from Tyne Dock to Consett. They have a carrying capacity of 56 tons, a vacuum automatic brake and four power‑operated side discharge doors that are controlled from the locomotive driver’s cab. The wagons were normally worked with Q7, 9F and later Class 24 locomotives.
The set carries the following running numbers: B446000, B446016 (British Railways) and B446023.
