Prototype Era
Era 5 (1956 to 1966) British Railways Late Crest
New batch announced, pre-order now!
Delivery is expected October 2022
The model is finished in BR Green Late Crest Livery.
The English Electric GT3 was designed and built in the Vulcan Foundry in Newton-le-Willows, Cheshire in 1958. After a lot of testing, it was found to be uneconomical to use with the introduction of diesel power. The GT3 had the look of a steam loco with its traditional loco tender configuration. KR Models has captured the essence of the GT3 in this model. It would make an excellent addition to any layout.
Limited amount available through Rails of Sheffield. Pre-order now.

The prototype English Electric GT3 was built at the Vulcan Foundry in Newton‑le‑Willows, Cheshire, in 1958. After extensive testing it proved uneconomical with the advent of diesel traction, but its steam‑locomotive appearance with tender configuration remains distinctive. KR Models have reproduced this appearance in the BR Green Late Crest livery.
The limited run is available for pre‑order through Rails of Sheffield, with delivery expected in October 2022. Only a small quantity is being produced.
