KR Models MR 0-10-0 Lickey Banker ‘Big Bertha’ MR Crimson Lake 2290 Steam Locomotive is a 00‑scale model of the Midland Railway’s single 0‑10‑0 locomotive, number 2290, built in 1919. The prototype was designed by James Anderson for banking duties on the Lickey Incline in Worcestershire, south of Birmingham, and was later re‑numbered under LMS (1947) and British Railways as 58100. Known to railwaymen as “Big Bertha” or “Big Emma”, the locomotive operated in the pre‑grouping era.

The model carries the manufacturer part number BIG‑OO‑MRC‑R and is listed with DCC status DCC 21, indicating a 21‑pin digital command control socket that is positioned for easy access in the tender. It features a fire‑box flicker effect, on‑board “stay alive” power, and a heavy die‑cast metal chassis. Versions fitted with either a LokSound v5.0 sound decoder or a LokPilot 5 decoder are available.

The model is not suitable for 1st‑radius curves, and it represents a historically significant banking locomotive from the early 20th century.
