In 1919, the Midland Railway built a single 0-10-0 steam locomotive, MR Black No 2290, (later LMS (1947) 2290 and BR Black 58100). It was designed by James Anderson for banking duties on the Lickey Incline in Worcestershire (south of Birmingham), England. It became known as “Big Bertha” or “Big Emma” by railwaymen and railway enthusiasts.

KR Models MR 0‑10‑0 Lickey Banker ‘Big Bertha’ is a 1:87 scale model of Midland Railway steam locomotive No 2290, built in 1919 for banking duties on the Lickey Incline in Worcestershire, England. The locomotive was later re‑numbered LMS 2290 in 1947 and BR Black 58100. It is commonly referred to as “Big Bertha” or “Big Emma”.

The model is supplied as DCC fitted (21‑pin socket with easy access in the tender) and carries the manufacturer part number BIG‑OO‑MRC‑F. It represents the pre‑grouping era. Features include a fire box flicker, a stay‑alive function, and a heavy die‑cast metal chassis. Fitted versions are equipped with either a LokSound v5.0 sound decoder or a LokPilot 5 decoder.
