KR Models MR 0‑10‑0 Lickey Banker ‘Big Bertha’ LMS Black 2290 Steam Locomotive – Sound Fitted is a model of the sole Midland Railway 0‑10‑0 locomotive built in 1919. The locomotive, later re‑numbered LMS 2290 in 1947 and BR Black 58100, was designed by James Anderson for banking duties on the Lickey Incline in Worcestershire and was commonly known as “Big Bertha” or “Big Emma” among railway staff and enthusiasts. The model represents the period of the Big Four railway companies (LNER, LMS, GWR and SR).

The model includes a 21‑pin DCC socket with easy access in the tender, a fire‑box flicker feature, and “stay‑alive” electronics on board. Its chassis is constructed from heavy die‑cast metal, and the fitted version is equipped with either a LokSound v5.0 or a LokPilot 5 sound decoder, providing DCC sound operation. The product is not suitable for 1st‑radius curves.

Manufacturer part number: BIG‑OO‑LMS‑S. DCC status: DCC Sound. The model is intended for collectors and model railway operators seeking an accurate representation of the historic “Big Bertha” locomotive.
