In 1919, the Midland Railway built a single 0-10-0 steam locomotive, MR Black No 2290, (later LMS (1947) 2290 and BR Black 58100). It was designed by James Anderson for banking duties on the Lickey Incline in Worcestershire (south of Birmingham), England. It became known as “Big Bertha” or “Big Emma” by railwaymen and railway enthusiasts.

KR Models MR 0-10-0 Lickey Banker ‘Big Bertha’ LMS Black 2290 Steam Locomotive is a model of a single Midland Railway 0‑10‑0 locomotive built in 1919 (19 August 1919). The locomotive, originally numbered MR Black No 2290 and later LMS 2290 and BR Black 58100, was designed by James Anderson for banking duties on the Lickey Incline in Worcestershire, south of Birmingham. It was commonly referred to by railwaymen as “Big Bertha” or “Big Emma”.

The model represents the locomotives of the Big Four era (LNER, LMS, GWR and SR) and carries the manufacturer part number BIG‑OO‑LMS‑R. It is fitted with a 21‑pin DCC socket located in the tender for easy access and includes a fire‑box flicker, a stay‑alive function, and a heavy die‑cast metal chassis. Versions are available with either a LokSound v5.0 sound decoder or a LokPilot 5 decoder. The model is not suitable for 1st radius curves.
