As part of the Hornby Skaledale range, this resin model represents a typical Platelayers' Hut, which was constructed beside railway lines for storage and shelter. But this fell out of regular use in the 1970s, when more flexible working practices were introduced.
This model measures at 53mm in length and features a painted metal and moss detail.
