Introducing the HM6000, your new circuit (locomotive) controller. Paired with the new HM | DC app, control up to 2 independent circuits per HM6000. Control up to 8 independent circuits per phone or tablet with more HM6000 units (max of 4 total).

HM | DC app control brings a wealth of new features and functions to enjoy; control speed, direction, acceleration, deceleration, minimum and maximum speeds, 18 in-app locomotive sounds, an emergency stop and short-circuit detection.

Also, build your dream layout with the Track Builder included with the free HM | DC app.

Please note: Each HM6000 unit requires a transformer (sold separately) and a compatible phone or tablet.

HM | DC requires pairing to HM6000 and/OR HM6010 units. The phone or tablet used can affect HM6000/HM6010’s performance. You need a phone or tablet with the specification listed below for HM | DC to perform as expected:

• Please ensure that you are downloading HM | DC onto a phone or tablet that is no more than 5 years old from the date of the phone/tablet release.
• Please ensure that your phone or tablet supports Bluetooth 4.0.
• Please ensure that your phone or tablet is updated to at least IOS 10 (Apple) or Version 8.0: Oreo (Android).
• Please ensure that your phone or tablet has at least 2GB RAM. It is advised to have a phone or tablet with at least 3GB RAM.

Google Pixel phones running Android 14 are currently known to have issues in downloading the HM | DC app. Downgrading to Android 13 to install the HM | DC app will allow for install. We are working hard to fix this issue, but please contact [email protected] for more information if you are unsure on compatibility prior to purchase.

The Hornby HM6000 is a circuit controller designed for use with the HM | DC app. This device allows control of up to two independent circuits per HM6000 unit, with a maximum of eight independent circuits controllable per phone or tablet with multiple HM6000 units.

The HM | DC app features a range of functions, including speed, direction, acceleration, deceleration, and minimum and maximum speed control. The app also includes 18 in-app locomotive sounds, an emergency stop function, and short-circuit detection.

The HM | DC app also includes a Track Builder, allowing users to design their own layouts. However, it is essential to note that each HM6000 unit requires a separate transformer, which is not included, and a compatible phone or tablet.

To use the HM | DC app, users must pair it with HM6000 and/or HM6010 units. The app is only compatible with certain phone and tablet specifications, including devices that are no more than five years old from the date of release, have Bluetooth 4.0, and are running at least iOS 10 or Android 8.0. Additionally, devices with at least 2GB of RAM are recommended, with 3GB or more being advised for optimal performance.

It is worth noting that some Google Pixel phones running Android 14 may experience issues with downloading the HM | DC app. In this case, downgrading to Android 13 may be necessary. Customers are advised to contact Hornby's customer care team for further information on compatibility before making a purchase.
