History
This is a Motor Composite coach, one of five coaches that make up a five-car bi-mode set. Trains from the Hitachi family of AT300 trains, including bi-mode Class 800 and all-electric Class 801s, are due to enter service during 2026 carrying this smart red, white and blue GBR branding, which is based on a corner of the ‘Union Jack’ flag.

Hornby RailRoad GBR Class 800 Motor Composite Coach 4 is a 4‑mm scale (OO gauge) model of a bi‑mode passenger carriage destined for service with Great British Railways.
The coach measures 341 mm in length, requires a minimum curve radius of 438 mm (2nd radius), and features a fixed bar coupling. It is supplied with a durable bodyshell and detailed moulded bogies. The manufacturer's part number is R40572.
The model is presented in the Great British Railways livery – a red, white and blue colour scheme derived from the Union Jack – and represents a carriage that will enter service in 2026 as part of a five‑car Class 800 set.
The coach is compatible with the Hornby R30561 Class 800 train pack and can be combined with other individual passenger coaches such as R40570 and R40571 to form a complete five‑car train.
