Manufacturer description

Locomotive No. 73965 was built in April 1966 as E6028. In January 1974 the locomotive was briefly re-numbered 73131 at the beginning of TOPS classification however this was changed to 73208 by the end of the month.

Between 1983 and 1997 the locomotive carried the name 'Croydon 1883-1983' and between 2006 and 2013 it carried the name 'Kirsten'. GB Rail freight took ownership of the locomotive from 2014, renumbering it to 73965.
