Prototype Era
Era 3 (1923 to 1947) The Big Four (LNER, LMS, GWR and SR)
No. 11244 started life as L&YR No. 28, being built at Horwich in May 1910 and seemingly spent most of its life in and around the dock railway system at Goole.
Having spent nearly fifty-two years in traffic, 11244 was withdrawn on 6 March, 1962 and scrapped very shortly after.
* Class names often change over the lifespan of a locomotive, so this is not necessarily the class name used by the operator in the period modelled.

Hornby OO gauge model of the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Class 21 “Pug”, number 11244, is presented in a pristine black livery. The model measures 85 mm in length, has a 0‑4‑0ST wheel arrangement and uses a Type 7 motor with power pickup from all wheels. It is not DCC‑compatible and carries the manufacturer part number R3727.
The prototype, built at Horwich in May 1910 as L&YR No. 28, operated primarily on the dock railway system at Goole. After nearly 52 years in service it was withdrawn on 6 March 1962 and subsequently scrapped. The model represents the Big Four era (LNER, LMS, GWR and SR) and is intended for collectors of historical British steam locomotives.
