Hornby RailRoad BR Class 14XX 0‑4‑2T model 1424 – Era 5 is a 1:87 scale representation of a British Railways steam locomotive. The model is finished in pristine condition and carries a lined green livery with the late crest. It bears the running number 1424 and measures 120 mm in length.
The locomotive is fitted with a Type 7 motor, is not equipped for DCC operation and can negotiate a minimum curve radius of 371 mm (the first radius). It is powered by steam in the model’s operation.
The model depicts a Great Western Railway 1400 class locomotive designed by Charles Collett and built at GWR Swindon Works between 1932 and 1936, of which 75 were produced. It represents the British Railways era with the late crest, has a 0‑4‑2T wheel arrangement, and carries the manufacturer part number R3692.
