Hornby The Final Day Collection presents a limited‑edition model of the Great Western Railway 6000 “King” Class locomotive, numbered 6004 and named King George III. The model is finished in pristine condition with a lined green livery, measures 274 mm in length and is DCC ready with an 8‑pin socket. It features a 5‑pole skew‑wound motor, power pickup on both driving and tender wheels, and uses NEM/tension‑lock couplings. The wheel arrangement is 4‑6‑0 and the model represents the period of the Big Four railway companies.

The prototype was built by the Great Western Railway at Swindon in July 1927 to a design by Charles Collett. It served the GWR for 34 years before being withdrawn in June 1962. A total of 31 locomotives of the 6000 “King” class were produced.
