Hornby RailRoad BR D49/1 ‘Hunt’ Class locomotive, 4‑4‑0, model number R3495. The model represents LNER No. 62760 ‘The Cotswold’, built at Darlington Works between 1927 and 1935, one of 76 examples produced. It is painted in lined black with the early British Railways emblem and carries the original running number 62760.
The kit measures 236 mm in length and is DCC ready, fitted with an eight‑pin socket and a three‑pole motor with flywheel. Power is collected from the driving wheels only, and the minimum curve radius is 438 mm (second radius). Coupling is via NEM tension lock. The finish is described as pristine.
The model depicts a steam locomotive of the London & North Eastern Railway D49 “Shire/Hunt” class, designed by Nigel Gresley and operated by British Railways in the early crest period.
