It is DCC ready with an 8‑pin socket, fitted with a 5‑pole skew wound motor, NEM couplings and a minimum curve radius of 438 mm (2nd radius).
The accompanying coach is finished in pristine teak, bears the running number 22857 and is painted in LNER green. It is a composite (C) carriage of the London & North Eastern Railway Gresley type.
The model reflects the period of the Big Four railways (LNER, LMS, GWR and SR) and relates to locomotives built between 1922 and 1935, of which 52 were produced. Manufacturer part number is R1167.
