Heljan Class 77 EM2 Woodhead electric locomotive, model number 27002 Aurora, is a limited‑edition OO‑scale model in British Rail (BR) black livery with the early crest emblem. The model is DCC fitted with a 21‑pin socket and carries the running number 27002. It features a pristine finish, NEM/Tension‑lock couplings and a minimum curve radius of 2 inches.
The prototype represented by the model is a British Rail Class 77 built at BR Gorton Works between 1953 and 1954. The locomotive was originally operated by British Railways, had a Co‑Co wheel arrangement, a maximum speed of 90 mph and was powered electrically. Only seven examples of this class were produced.
Heljan’s part number for the model is 7703. The model depicts the early crest period of British Railways and is intended for collectors and railway enthusiasts who use OO gauge track.
