1:76 Scale model of a Class 42 Diesel Locomotive decorated in BR livery. This model features lots of expertly applied details as based on the prototype, a high level of body detail and excellent running characteristics.

The Heljan Class 42 'Warship' V1 BR Green SYP 'Avenger' No D804 Diesel Locomotive is a limited edition model produced exclusively by Rails of Sheffield. It is a DCC21 model, meaning it is designed to work with 21-pin DCC systems. The locomotive features interior lighting, including separately switchable cab lights, engine room lights, and tail lights.
The model represents the British Railways Late Crest period and comes with a range of features. These include separately switchable warm white lights for the cab, engine room, and marker lights, as well as an illuminated headcode panel. The model also has factory-fitted twin speakers for excellent sound reproduction, with a DCC sound option available on all liveries.
In terms of detail, the model features a robust sprung oval buffer, NEM couplers with partial bufferbeam detail, and optional full front skirt with complete bufferbeam detail. The cab interior is fully detailed and decorated, with engine room detail behind the bodyside windows and etched roof grilles with fans visible underneath. The model also includes tiny etched metal lifting eyes, etched metal windscreen wipers, and metal handrails.
The locomotive's wheels are fully detailed and driven by a powerful central motor. The model has all-wheel drive and pick-up, with twin flywheels and a 21-pin DCC interface. A pack of optional headcode discs is included, as well as a separate speedometer cable.
