The Heljan Class 42 'Warship' model in BR Green SYP livery with the number D812, commemorating 'The Royal Naval Reserve 1859-1959', is a limited edition model available exclusively from Rails of Sheffield. This model is DCC-equipped, with a 21-pin interface, and features interior lighting. It represents the British Rail Blue era, prior to the introduction of the TOPS system.
The model includes a range of separately switchable lights, including cab lights, engine room lights, tail lights, and marker lights, all of which are warm white in colour and not overly bright. The model also features a illuminated headcode panel at the front, along with factory-fitted twin speakers for improved sound reproduction. A DCC sound option is available for all liveries, although this is subject to confirmation from Legomanbiffo.
The model features a number of detailed components, including robust sprung oval buffers, NEM couplers, and a fully detailed and decorated cab interior. The engine room is also detailed, with etched roof grilles and fans visible underneath. Other features include tiny etched metal lifting eyes, metal windscreen wipers, and metal handrails. The wheels are fully detailed and feature all-wheel drive and pick-up, while the model is powered by a central motor driving to all axles.
