Manufacturer description

Fordhampton is home to a small harbour used for both pleasure and commercial vessels, so these sheet walls with concrete coverings and various points to moor the ships are ideal for replicating an inland harbour or sea port scene.

While this model is primarily designed to be used as dockside walling, this type of metal structure is also seen propping up earth embankments along the sides of railway lines and roadways. It comes with capping for the walling and includes mooring bollards and a pontoon.

Placed on top of a large sheet of clear plastic you have the start of your own quayside and watch out for other kits such as GM432 Dockside Warehouse and GM433 Dockside Crane to help create your own Port.

This kit contains 29 parts in 3 colour and will require gluing and construction to complete. A suitable Plastic Cement Glue is required to complete this kit.

Gaugemaster Fordhampton Dockside Walling Kit (Part No GM438) measures 518 mm in length, 16 mm in width and 37 mm in depth. The kit consists of 29 plastic parts in three colours, including wall sections with concrete finishes, capping pieces, mooring bollards and a pontoon. Construction requires gluing with a suitable plastic cement.

The walling is intended for modelling a harbour environment such as the Fordhampton harbour, suitable for both pleasure and commercial vessels, but it can also represent earth‑embank supports alongside railway lines or roads. When placed on a clear plastic sheet it forms the basis of a quayside, which can be expanded with other Gaugemaster kits such as the Dockside Warehouse (GM432) or Dockside Crane (GM433) to create a complete port scene.
