This is the renowned Dapol Track Cleaning vehicle with a modern twist. It needs to be hauled by a locomotive as the often described ‘motorised’ element of this item reflects the motor driving the cleaning heads and not the movement of the model.
It works by the track cleaning vehicle supplying a small amount of cleaning fluid and then polishing the rails with the rotating pads. A full range of spares and fluids are available in the Dapol range. Please note that Track Cleaning Fluid is not supplied with the model.
Featuring an 8 pin DCC decoder socket and NEM coupling pockets, this item is compatible with most brands.
Note: To run this model on DCC you will need to plug in an 8 Pin Dcc Decoder. We recommend either the DCC92 or the DCC29 as they fit nicely in the unit.

Gaugemaster Network Rail Track Cleaning Vehicle – a Dapol model representing the rebuilding of the railways. It measures 205 mm in length, 34 mm in width and 49 mm in height. The vehicle is liveried in Network Rail colours and carries the manufacturer part number GM4210101.
The model is DCC Ready, fitted with an 8‑pin socket for a decoder and includes NEM coupling pockets, making it compatible with most brands. To operate on DCC a decoder such as the DCC92 or DCC29 is recommended, as they fit comfortably within the unit.
The vehicle is designed to be hauled by a locomotive; the motor drives the cleaning heads rather than providing movement. It supplies a small amount of cleaning fluid and polishes the rails with rotating pads. Track cleaning fluid is not supplied, but a full range of spares and fluids is available from Dapol.
The model is suitable for use in layouts depicting the railway rebuilding era and can be incorporated with other Dapol track‑cleaning accessories.
