SPECIFICATIONS
A splash of colour brightens any railway scene, so we’ve ‘seen red’ with our first run of Demountables! But a closer look will reveal subtle differences in each model, and we’ve catered for alternative chassis designs as well as various stages in the Demountables’ diverse histories. To borrow from video game pop culture, why not ‘catch ‘em all’?
Naturally, our Demountables will feature our trademark attention to quality, with finely detailed die-cast chassis, removable loads, sprung buffers and innovative ‘ultra-flex’ bufferbeam pipes that allow them to negotiate 2nd radius curves even with tension-lock couplings attached.
And as with our Lowmacs, we’ve not forgotten finer-scale enthusiasts, as 26mm axles with plenty of ‘wiggle room’ allow for easy conversion to EM and P4 Gauges.

The Ellis Clark Trains Plain Red (Internal User) Demountable Tank Wagon B749028 is a newly released OO Gauge model. This wagon is a representation of the demountable wagons that were a common sight on the British railway scene for many years. They were primarily used for carrying goods, but also had various other uses.
The model is a former Bass Charrington wagon, which was repurposed as a water carrier in Scotland in the 1980s. It is available in Era 8 and 9, which corresponds to the British Rail Sectorisation period.
The model features a finely detailed die-cast chassis, removable loads, sprung buffers, and innovative 'ultra-flex' bufferbeam pipes that allow it to navigate curves. The model also allows for easy conversion to EM and P4 gauges, thanks to its 26mm axles. Additionally, the wagon has a removable NEM coupling and pocket, as well as a removable tank load with extra-fine securing chains. The model is available in different chassis types, catering to various modeller's preferences.
