The Ellis Clark Trains 25T Lowmac wagon is a model railway item designed for OO gauge models. It represents a British Railways Lowmac wagon, which was used for transporting heavy machinery and vehicles during the late crested British Railways period.

The model features a fully detailed diecast frame, end fittings, and pipework. It also includes a NEM pocket combined with a vacuum cylinder, which can be replaced with a fully detailed cylinder. The model has sprung metal buffers and optional EM brake shoes, which are supplied in a detail pack. The model's chassis is fully detailed and features brass bearings with pin point axles.

The Lowmac wagon has a long history dating back to the mid-nineteenth century. The design of the wagon was developed to transport large machinery and vehicles on Britain's railways, where the loading gauge was restricted. The wagon's design was refined over the years, and the Diagram 173 variant was developed during World War II to transport heavy military vehicles. These wagons were constructed at Shildon in 1944 and were used to assist in the Allied forces' liberation of Europe.

After the war, the Lowmac wagons continued to be used for transporting heavy loads, including construction equipment and agricultural machinery. British Railways ordered a new batch of wagons in 1950, which were used for a variety of tasks, including transporting heavy components for train manufacturers. Many Lowmac wagons remained in service until the 1990s, with some being preserved and now on display at sites around the UK.

The Lowmac wagon's versatility made it a useful addition to many model railway layouts. It can be used to transport a variety of loads, from farm and engineering machinery to oil tanks and damaged wagons. The model's lack of documentation in photographs means that modellers have the freedom to be creative when loading their Lowmac wagons.
