The Ellis Clark Trains OO Gauge model of the LYR 'Pug' 0-4-0ST locomotive is a detailed representation of a specific locomotive, No. 51218, in BR black with late crests livery. The model is based on a real locomotive that entered service in 1901 as L&YR No. 68 and was renumbered to 51218 after nationalisation.
The model is DCC ready and features a semi-open die-cast chassis, sprung buffers, and a highly detailed backhead and cab. It also includes a removable NEM coupling and socket, as well as space for EM/P4 conversion. The model is mostly diecast construction and features etched plates and separately fitted finely etched detail.
The release date for the model is expected to be in Q4 2026 or Q1 2027, with a price of £150.00 for the DCC ready version. The DCC sound version is also available, although the price has not been confirmed. The DCC sound model will feature a pre-fitted speaker, stay-alive on board, and DCC controlled firebox lighting.
