Era 7 (1972 to 1982) British Rail Blue (TOPS)
Announced as part of the Summer 2022 British Railway Announcements, we are delighted to bring you this EFE Rail 1938 London Underground Motorised Tube Stock.
Following the success of the first EFE Rail motorised Tube Train which arrived earlier this year, we are pleased to present a further version, this time in the more contemporary Bus Red livery with white roundels and car numbers, as applied to units selected for a life-extending Extra Heavy Overhaul which was undertaken at the London Transport Works in Acton in the 1970s.
This 4-car set has been modelled on a 1970s Bakerloo Line set, Train No. 136, working to Watford (LMR) and comprises:
Car A: Driving Motor Car No. 10184
Car B: Trailer Car No. 012272
Car C: Non-Driving Motor Car No. 12123
Car D: Driving Motor Car No. 11184

EFE Rail 1938 London Underground Tube Stock, 1970s Bakerloo line EHO Set is an OO gauge model of a 4‑car Bakerloo line unit (Train No 136) that was given an extra heavy overhaul at the London Transport Works in Acton during the 1970s. The set is presented in the later Bus Red livery with white roundels and authentic car numbers.
The model is DCC ready, offering two Plux 22 decoder sockets (recommended decoder number 36‑570) and includes interior lighting, speaker readiness and NEM coupling pockets. Each driving car is fitted with a powerful coreless motor and all‑wheel pick‑up. The cars are detailed with decorated interiors and carry the British Rail Blue (TOPS) period marking.
