Announced as part of our Autumn 2021 British Railway Announcements, we are delighted to bring you this EFE Rail Adams 02 No. 34 ‘Newport’ in SR Malachite Green livery.

EFE Rail LSWR Adams 02 No. 34 “Newport” is a 0‑4‑4T steam locomotive model in Southern Railway Malachite Green livery. The model measures 137 mm over couplings and is produced to EFE Rail’s OO‑scale standards, representing the Class O2 locomotives built between 1889 and 1896. It carries the running number 34 and features etched “Newport” nameplates, route‑indicator discs and etched locomotive tools.
The locomotive is DCC ready, with a six‑pin decoder socket situated inside the smokebox and accessed via a magnetic smokebox door. It is fitted with a Corless motor and is recommended for use with Decoder 36‑568A. An accessory pack is supplied, and the model is marketed as part of the Era 3 range, depicting the period of the Big Four railway companies (LNER, LMS, GWR and SR).
The model was announced in the Autumn 2021 British Railway Announcements and bears the manufacturer part number E85008. It is designed by William Adams and was originally operated by the Southern Railway, one of the sixty locomotives produced in this class.
