2026 celebrates 75 years since that most beloved of comic book characters, Dennis the Menace, made his first appearance in the Beano. Since that 1951 debut, Dennis and his loyal canine sidekick, Gnasher, have delighted generations of children (and adults) with their tales of mischief and mayhem, and to mark this significant milestone, the Beano and its publisher,
D C Thomson, have declared 2026 to be a ‘Year of Mischief’!
To commemorate the anniversary, EFE Road has teamed up with Beano Studios and D C Thomson to create a special 75th Anniversary bus, and what better bus to use as a basis than a Dennis Dart SLF/Pointer 2! This unique and fully licensed collectors piece features authentic Dennis the Menace and Gnasher artworks, and is complete with an appropriate service 75 destination serving Bash Street School and Beanotown.
These limited edition ‘Dennis on a Dennis’ Darts will be arriving with Bachmann stockists later this year. Note: This model is not based on a ‘real’ prototype and is a fictitious livery created for the anniversary.
