Prototype Era
Era 5 (1956 to 1966) British Railways Late Crest
This East Lancs bodied Leyland Leopard bus, built to the standard 30ft BET (British Electric Traction) design, was operated by the Todmorden Joint Omnibus Committee. Todmorden buses interestingly carried both the Corporation crest and the crest of the London Midland & Scottish Railway, all of which made these vehicles look very attractive.
With Nationalisation of the railways and other transport concerns in 1948, the LMS crest was replaced by progressive versions of the British Railway logos and then around 1970 the BR emblems were finally removed. Our model features fleet number 37, registered 573 EYG while operating on a 'Rail Replacement Service' at the time of the pending closure of many railway lines. Carrying the all-embracing standard British Railways logo, this model is sure to enhance a wide variety of railway layouts covering many parts of the country.

EFE Rail Collectors Club 30ft BET Bus Rail Replacement Service is a limited‑edition model released under the Bachmann Collectors Club range. It carries the manufacturer part number E24329K and represents the British Railways Late Crest era.
The model replicates an East Lancs bodied Leyland Leopard bus built to the standard 30ft BET (British Electric Traction) design. In service the vehicle was operated by the Todmorden Joint Omnibus Committee and displayed both the Corporation crest and the London Midland & Scottish Railway crest. Following the nationalisation of transport in 1948 the LMS crest was replaced by successive British Railways logos, which were finally removed around 1970. The model shows fleet number 37, registration 573 EYG, and is depicted in a rail replacement service configuration during the period when many railway lines were being closed.
The set includes 500 certificated pieces and measures 120 mm in length. It is classified as Era 5/6 in OO scale, making it suitable for a wide range of British railway layouts.
