The LNWI allows you to connect compatible WiFi devices to LocoNet and run trains using compatible throttle apps.

The LNWI has been tested with a range of devices and available applications, however not all configurations are guaranteed to function as expected. Additionally, the LNWI may not support some subsets of an app’s capabilities, and some apps may not be configurable to access all LocoNet capabilities.

Digitrax Loconet WiFi Interface (part number LN‑LNWI) provides a wireless link between a Digitrax LocoNet and up to four compatible mobile devices. The unit works with most Android and Apple devices that run supported throttle applications, allowing users to control trains without the need for additional configuration – it is ready to use ‘out of the box’.

A single LNWI can handle up to 32 LocoNet throttle functions when used with compatible apps and a command station, and up to eight LNWI units may be connected to one LocoNet. The interface automatically resolves SSID conflicts, offers optional WPA2 security for public layouts, and includes option switches to customise device settings.

Digitrax does not produce or support the mobile devices or throttle apps themselves; users should contact the device or app manufacturers for support. Although the LNWI has been tested with a range of devices and applications, not all configurations are guaranteed, and some apps may not provide full access to all LocoNet capabilities.
