Installation Advice
Drill the mounting hole using a 2mm drill. Carefully thread the fine wires into the hole, then insert the lamp mounting tube.
If using the extension base, use a 5.5mm drill and insert it to your chosen depth or pre-cut it to length and pre-drill to 2mm to allow you to use the added 2mm tube extension that is provided in the pack.
Wall lamps – using a very small drill, drill the building wall to allow insertion of the fine wires. Use glue to fix the lamp to the building.
The longer of the 2 wires is the + lead. Connect your power supply to the resistor board and then try the lamp with each of the resistor values to select your preferred light level.
Alternatively, if a different level is wanted, you may also use any other value 1/4 watt resistor as long as it is larger than 1k Ohms.
Connect several lamps (up to 6) to one resistor board if you wish.
You can also connect Legacy Skyline Lamps to an Alpha Mimic DCC control board if you wish. Follow the instructions supplied with the Alpha Mimic Building Lighting for this type of installation.
Recommended Power Supply – DCP-PS12

DCC Concepts 4 mm Scale Swan‑Neck Lamps Value Pack – Maroon (part number LML‑VPSMR) is a set of LED lamps designed for 4 mm scale model railway lighting. The pack contains six street or platform lamps and two wall lamps, each supplied with a 200 mm length of connection wire, together with eight resistor boards suitable for regulated DC power supplies of 6–12 V.
Installation instructions advise drilling a 2 mm hole for the mounting tube, threading the fine wires through the hole and fixing the lamp in place. For the optional extension base a 5.5 mm drill is required, after which the 2 mm tube extension supplied in the pack can be inserted. Wall lamps are fitted by drilling a small hole in the building wall, inserting the wires and using glue to secure the lamp. The longer of the two wires is the positive lead; the lamp is connected to a resistor board and tested with different resistor values to achieve the desired light level. Any 1/4 watt resistor larger than 1 kΩ may be used, and up to six lamps can share a single resistor board. Legacy Skyline Lamps can also be linked to an Alpha Mimic DCC control board according to the Alpha Mimic Building Lighting instructions.
The manufacturer recommends the DCP‑PS12 power supply for use with this lighting set.
