Installation Advice
Drill the mounting hole using a 2mm drill. Carefully thread the fine wires into the hole, then insert the lamp mounting tube.
If using the extension base, use a 5.5mm drill and insert it to your chosen depth or pre-cut it to length and pre-drill to 2mm to allow you to use the added 2mm tube extension that is provided in the pack.
Wall lamps – using a very small drill, drill the building wall to allow insertion of the fine wires. Use glue to fix the lamp to the building.
The longer of the 2 wires is the + lead. Connect your power supply to the resistor board and then try the lamp with each of the resistor values to select your preferred light level.
Alternatively, if a different level is wanted, you may also use any other value 1/4 watt resistor as long as it is larger than 1k Ohms.
Connect several lamps (up to 6) to one resistor board if you wish.
You can also connect Legacy Skyline Lamps to an Alpha Mimic DCC control board if you wish. Follow the instructions supplied with the Alpha Mimic Building Lighting for this type of installation.

The DCC Concepts 4mm Scale Gas Lamps Value Pack – Black (manufacturer part number LML‑VPGBK) provides a collection of LED‑illuminated gas lamps designed for 4mm scale model railways. The pack includes two wall‑mounted lamps and six street or platform lamps, all supplied in a black finish.

Each lamp comes with a 200 mm length of fine connection wire. The set also contains eight resistor boards suitable for use with a regulated DC power supply ranging from 6 to 12 V, allowing the lamps to be powered at the appropriate voltage.

Installation guidance recommends drilling a 2 mm hole for the mounting tube and threading the wires through the hole. Wall lamps require a small drill hole in the building side and adhesive to secure the fixture. The longer of the two wires is the positive lead; users can select the desired illumination level by testing the lamp with different resistor values, or by using any 1/4‑watt resistor greater than 1 kΩ. Up to six lamps may be connected to a single resistor board, and the lamps can also be linked to an Alpha Mimic DCC control board following the relevant instructions.

The manufacturers suggest the DCP‑PS12 power supply as a suitable source for operating the lamps.
