A really well scaled blend that accurately reflects prototype size. The Grey mix colour has been chosen based on field research and does include a small addition of lighter and darker stones as granite ballast often includes more crystalline or darker impurities. It is suitable for newer ballast, lightly used modern or new Steam Era lines in some areas.

Use in combination with other Legacy Ballast for transitional areas and weather with powders or paint as appropriate for realism. This carefully processed Ballast should not change tone when glue is applied using a suitable mix and wetting agent. The ballast is a finely scaled grey blend that has been formulated to match prototype dimensions. The colour selection is based on field research and incorporates a small proportion of lighter and darker stones, reflecting the crystalline and impurity content commonly found in granite ballast.

The product is intended for use on newer ballast, lightly used modern stock and, in some areas, new Steam Era locomotives. It can be combined with other Legacy Ballast to create transitional sections and may be weathered with powders or paint for added realism. When mixed with an appropriate glue and wetting agent, the tone of the ballast should remain unchanged.

Packaging consists of three separate pots, each containing 200 g of ballast.
