Pickup Springs 2.0mm Axles (48 Pack)

48 springs, sized perfectly for zero friction addition when used to add power pickup on 2.0mm axles (OO and HO standard size). They are a delight to use. – Simply remove one wheel, add the spring and replace the wheel-set, making sure you note which wheel is ‘live’ to the track. Drill a small hole in the floor of the coach/tender/caboose etc, and solder a bit of fine wire to the tag end on the spring. Connect the wire to your flickerfree or loco pickups etc. You will be delighted these friction-free pickups. They will add nothing to the drag at all and will always be able to give perfect pickup as long as you keep track and wheels reasonably clean.

DCC Concepts Pickup Springs for 2.0 mm axles are supplied in a pack of 48 units. The product carries the manufacturer part number DCF‑PS2.0 and is intended for use on standard OO and HO gauge rolling stock where the axle size is 2.0 mm.

Each spring is designed to provide friction‑free electrical pickup when fitted to the axle. Installation involves removing a wheel, placing the spring on the axle, and refitting the wheel, ensuring the wheel that is electrically live is identified. A small hole can be drilled in the floor of the coach, tender or caboose and a fine wire soldered to the tag end of the spring to connect with flicker‑free or locomotive pickup systems.

The springs add no measurable drag and are capable of delivering reliable power pickup provided the wheels remain reasonably clean.
