Prototype Era
Era 3 (1923 to 1947) The Big Four (LNER, LMS, GWR and SR)

Manufacturer description

12x 2-wire LMS/BR Ground Signal – A pack of 12 x 3-lamp plug and play signals in 4mm scale (OO), supplied with NO control board.

The DCD-GS-BR is the classic 3-lamp ground signal. It was first introduced in the mid 1930’s and spread far and wide. Most are still in use today. This makes it a great choice for layouts of many prototypes and periods. The STEAM era version has a slightly yellower “White” aspect, as ground signals in that period were often covered with tar-based “weathering” from steam locomotive induced pollution.

Use as add-on for Alpha Mimic control signal systems OR use independently if you wish. Please note: If used with other power sources, resistors MUST be added. (we suggest 5,000 ohms or 5k resistors)

Failed LEDs because of incorrect connection will not be covered by warranty.

DCD‑GS‑BR is a pack of twelve 2‑wire ground signals in 4 mm (OO) scale. Each unit is a three‑lamp plug‑and‑play signal supplied without a control board. The model represents the “Big Four” railway companies – LNER, LMS, GWR and SR – and is suitable for layouts covering that period.

The signal is a classic STEAM‑era ground light, first introduced in the mid 1930s. The white aspect is slightly yellower than later examples, reflecting the tar‑based weathering that resulted from steam‑locomotive pollution. The signals can be used as add‑on units with Alpha Mimic control systems or operated independently; when powered from other sources a 5 000‑ohm resistor should be fitted.

The manufacturer notes that any LED failures caused by incorrect wiring are not covered by the warranty. The product carries the manufacturer part number DCD‑GS‑BR.
