Alpha Meter’s circuitry has been carefully designed to keep it simple, with only two wires in, two wires out. It automatically adusts for AC, DC or DCC power and even compensates for it’s own load, leaving only real-world readings relevant to your layout operation.

DCC Concepts Alpha Meter (part number DCC‑AVA.1) is a digital current meter designed for use on both DC and DCC model railway layouts. It is intended to be mounted alongside an Alpha Panel to provide a tidy fascia appearance.

The meter operates with a simple two‑wire input and two‑wire output configuration and automatically adjusts for AC, DC or DCC power, compensating for its own load to deliver accurate real‑world readings. It measures up to 10 A at 5–29 V DC/DCC, and up to 7 A at 5–20.5 V AC.

Physical dimensions are 128 mm wide by 55 mm deep. The unit is straightforward to install and requires no specialised wiring beyond the four connection leads.
