Dapol MR‑021 is an OO gauge model of the LNER Class Y1 Sentinel steam locomotive, number 45, finished in LNER black livery with shaded lettering and numerals. The model is a limited‑edition item produced exclusively for Model Rail Magazine.
The locomotive features an accurately laser‑scanned body and chassis, a five‑pole super‑creep motor with flywheel driving both axles, and a friction‑free electrical pick‑up system. It has a heavy tungsten chassis for reliable performance and high haulage power, etched metal grilles, wire handrails and separate detail parts, and fits NEM couplings.
The model is DCC ready, supplied with an eight‑pin socket, and is marketed as representing the period of the Big Four railway companies (LNER, LMS, GWR and SR). The manufacturer part number is MR‑021.
