Dapol Science Museum Commemorative Wagon – Liverpool and Manchester Railway is a model kit produced by Dapol, identified by manufacturer part number 564465. The wagon forms part of the company’s 2026 range, which focuses on pioneering UK railway lines.
The model represents the historic Liverpool and Manchester Railway, recognised for a number of railway firsts, including being the world’s first inter‑city railway, the first to operate solely on steam power, the first entirely double‑track line, the first with a comprehensive signalling system and the first to run a full timetable. The year 2026 marks the 200th anniversary of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway Act of 1826.
The wagon uses the same seven‑plank design employed in Dapol’s Railway 200, NRM50, SDR200 and Greatest Gathering models released in the previous year, enabling collectors and modellers to create a uniform and detailed train composition.
