Manufacturer description
After the success of our Commemorative Wagon range in 2025, continue building your train with our new 2026 offerings.

For our 2026 range, the focus is on Pioneering UK Railways. With so many history shaping railways to choose from, we hope you can forgive us for narrowing the list down to 3 major lines which will be represented. This wagon represents the Stockton and Darlington Railway.

Famous for being the birthplace of the modern railway the Stockton and Darlington Railway is now home to several important rail locations, including the Locomotion Museum. After coming under NER (and later LNER) ownership, parts of the original line can still be followed on the SDR trail, with much of the original route still in use as the Tees Valley line.

We have chosen to represent these incredible feats of early rail infrastructure with the same 7 plank wagons as the Railway 200, NRM50, SDR200, and Greatest Gathering models used last year, allowing modellers and collectors to build a consistent and now fairly impressive train!

We are delighted to be able to offer these wagons in both OO-Gauge and N-Gauge again. Every purchase helps support our museums and the invaluable work they do.

Dapol Science Museum Commemorative Wagon – Stockton and Darlington Railway
Manufacturer part number: 564380

This model forms part of Dapol’s 2026 commemorative wagon range, which celebrates pioneering UK railways. It depicts a seven‑plank wagon that historically ran on the Stockton and Darlington Railway, the line recognised as the birthplace of the modern railway. The original route is now partly incorporated into the Tees Valley line and the SDR trail, and the line is associated with the Locomotion Museum, as well as its later ownership by the North Eastern Railway and the London and North Eastern Railway.

The wagon is offered in both OO‑Gauge and N‑Gauge, matching the 7‑plank wagons used for the Railway 200, NRM50, SDR200 and Greatest Gathering models released in the previous year. Images shown are currently concept renders and may be altered before final production.

Purchases of the wagon contribute funds to Dapol’s museum partners and support their ongoing work.
