Dapol GWR Corridor Toplight 1935 Chocolate and Cream Roundel Composite RH 6939 is a 00 gauge model railway coach produced by Dapol, listed under manufacturer part number 4P-021-303. It represents rolling stock from the period of the Big Four railway companies – the LNER, LMS, GWR and SR.
The prototype coaches were built between 1914 and 1920 with steel body sides, lacking paneling but featuring bolection mouldings around the windows and frosted glass toplight windows. They were mounted on Churchward 9‑0 inch bogies and operated as a set that could include left‑hand and right‑hand brake thirds, 1‑ or 2‑thirds and composites, allowing all corridor windows to be shown on the same side for cross‑country and main‑line services.
The chassis incorporates die‑cast frames with two stamped metal compensation beams that provide wheel bearing electrical pick‑up via stub axles. Two styles of underframe truss rods are offered, and the bogie design includes die‑cast framing, a cam for close‑coupled connections on R2 (438 mm) curves, and NEM pockets for magnetic couplings. Wheels are sized for 00 gauge (16.5 mm) with clearance for 18.2 mm gauge wheels, and axles measure 26 mm over end points. Sprung metal buffers are fitted, and a DCC decoder plug with a blanking plug is supplied.
The body is made from separate ABS plastic side panels, with gap‑free corridor connections suitable for R2 curves and interior finishes that include individually fitted luggage racks. Roof ventilators are provided according to the chosen period, and metal door and commode handles are supplied. Destination boards are sold separately for fitting, and all coaches come with interior lighting.
