Dapol GWR Corridor Toplight 1925 Lined Chocolate & Cream All Third 3930 is a 00 gauge railway coach kit. It is supplied under manufacturer part number 4P‑021‑101 and represents a coach from the period of the Big Four (LNER, LMS, GWR and SR). The model depicts a 1925 GWR third‑class corridor coach in chocolate and cream livery, complete with a toplight and lined detailing.
The prototype coaches were built between 1914 and 1920 with steel side panels, bolection mouldings around the windows and frosted glass toplights, and rode on Churchward 9‑ft‑0‑in bogies. They were originally supplied as a variety of brake thirds, 1‑ or 2‑thirds and composites, allowing all corridor windows to face the same side for cross‑country and main‑line operation.
The chassis incorporates die‑cast frames and two stamped metal compensation beams to accommodate wheel‑bearing electrical pick‑up via stub axles. Two styles of under‑frame truss rods are offered, and the wheels are sized for 00 gauge (16.5 mm) with clearance for 18.2 mm gauge wheels; axles are 26 mm over the end points. Couplings are close‑coupled on a cam to negotiate R2 (438 mm) curves and include NEM pockets for magnetic couplings, with the option to fit traditional NEM‑compatible couplings. Sprung metal buffers are provided.
The coach body sides are supplied as separate ABS‑plastic components. Gap‑free corridor connections allow operation on R2 curves, and each passenger compartment includes a fitted luggage rack. Roof ventilators, door and commode handles, and destination boards are supplied separately for the modeller to fit. Interior lighting and a DCC decoder plug with a blanking plug are included.
