Dapol has teamed up with Browsers Bookshop, who we have asked to champion independent booksellers. Located in Porthmadog, Browsers boasts an extensive range of books across various subjects, including railways, particularly narrow gauge. On the publishing side, we have asked Book Law Publications, a name familiar to those passionate about model railways as well as the prototype railway. Both organizations have graciously permitted us to incorporate their logos alongside the World Book Day charity's logo to assist Dapol in our efforts to fundraise for this year's World Book Day event on Thursday March 5th.

World Book Day champions reading for fun. That’s because it seriously improves lives. In fact, it’s the biggest indicator that a child will grow up to enjoy a happier and more successful future. Today, only one in three children likes reading. By changing this, we can transform lives. Young people are more likely to read if they see it as a fun, entertaining and social thing to do. That’s what the work of the World Book Day charity is all about; inspiring young people to see reading differently.
