Bryngaer Cambrian Railways 2 Plank Fixed Side Open Wagon Cambrian Grey No 1754 is a model produced by Bryngaer, reference WMB002. It represents a pre‑grouping era wagon that was a common sight on the Cambrian Railways network, with several hundred such wagons in service at any one time.
The wagons were primarily employed for exporting slate from mid‑Wales, linking with narrow‑gauge lines such as the Ffestiniog and Talyllyn railways. They were also used for general goods traffic and permanent way work during the later Great Western Railway period.
Key features of the model include the distinction between fixed‑side and open‑sided versions, interior planking detail and NEM couplings. The exterior is finished in Cambrian grey, matching the historic appearance of the original wagons.
