In the days before railway signalling became controlled from centralised locations, many railway stations would have signal boxes placed at the ends of platforms to allow staff to control the movement of railway vehicles and rolling stock around the station. This Platform Mounted Signal Box model from Scenecraft is decorated in cream with green highlights and can be used on many steam era layouts.

Bachmann Platform Mounted Signal Box – Green

The model is a replica of a traditional railway signal box that would have been positioned at the end of a platform to allow staff to control the movement of trains and rolling stock. It is painted in cream with green highlights and is suitable for use on steam‑era railway layouts.
