Prototype Era
Era 5 (1956 to 1966) British Railways Late Crest
We are delighted to present the BR Mk1 POT Post Office Stowage Van in original Post Office Red livery as our next Bachmann Collectors Club OO Scale Limited Edition model.
Partnered with our other POT (item No. 39-771K) and POS coaches in the same livery that have been offered in the Bachmann Branchline main range, this new model will allow stunning steam-era postal trains to be assembled for the first time. Although the specific diagram of vehicle depicted by the Bachmann Branchline model did not carry this livery in service, Bachmann has been inundated with requests for models in this original colour scheme and these new models answer those calls.
Using the Bachmann Branchline model as its basis, this coach is awash with separately fitted details including the roof ventilators, handrails, ETH fittings and end steps. There is more underneath with individual battery boxes, brake components and auxiliary gear all fitted to the underframe, whilst the B4 bogies are fitted with metal wheelsets and standard tension lock couplings are mounted via NEM pockets on the body-mounted close coupling mechanisms.
