Manufacturer description

Modellers of the BR Southern Region can look forward to forming an authentic Bulleid 3-coach set thanks in part to this new model of the Diagram 2123 Brake Second Semi-Open, which was one of three Bulleid coaches that made up ā€˜L Set’ No. 781. The Southern Railway had a long tradition of forming much of its coaching stock into semi-permanent sets and set No. 781 was formed in March 1947 when the three vehicles entered traffic; they would remain in this formation until the set was disbanded in 1967. The model accurately includes set No. 781 on the coach end and can be combined with 34-726A and 34-752 to create the authentic 3-coach set, and why not add some of our ā€˜loose’ coaches like the Brake Composite Corridor (34-761/A) and Second Open (34-826/A) to expand your fleet even further and provide extra capacity for busy services!

The highly acclaimed Bachmann Branchline models capture every element of Bulleid’s modernistic design to a tee. Every model incorporates a wealth of detail including separately fitted components such as roof vents, lamp irons, toilet filler & overflow pipework and the portrayal of a complete vacuum pipe-run between the sockets at each end of the vehicles. The bogies incorporate electrical pickups, brake details and footsteps as appropriate whilst authentic interiors are also included along with full underframe gear.

The Bachmann Branchline model of the SR Bulleid Brake Second Semi-Open 10" Vents BR (SR) Green is a representation of a coach from the Southern Region of British Railways, specifically from the late 1940s to 1960s period.

The model is part of the Branchline range and is designed to be part of a three-coach set, No. 781, which was formed in March 1947 and remained in service until 1967. The model features a Brake Second Semi-Open coach with 10" window ventilators, strengthening ribs on the bodysides, and a Bulleid-pattern dynamo.

The model is produced in OO scale and is designed to be coupled to other Bachmann Branchline coaches to create a complete 3-coach set. It features a range of details, including separately fitted components, electrical pickups, and an authentic interior. The model is finished in pristine BR (SR) Green livery and has a running number of S4324S.

Key features of the model include NEM coupling pockets, a close coupling mechanism, and a length of 270mm over the couplings. The model also includes specific details such as twin vacuum brakes cylinders and a Bulleid-pattern battery box.
