The Bachmann LMS 10001 BR Black (Early Emblem) is a model locomotive presented in a pristine condition. It depicts a British Railways Class D16/1 diesel engine carrying the early BR crest and bears the running number 10001. The model measures 255 mm in length and features both directional and interior lighting. It is equipped with a 21‑pin DCC‑ready socket and can operate on a minimum radius curve of 438 mm (second radius). The livery is black with the early emblem, and the manufacturer part number is 31‑998.
The prototype locomotive was built between 1947 and 1948, with only two examples produced. This model represents the British Railways early crest period.
