Accurascale ICI Hopper – 1950s to 1973 – Twin Pack E is a highly detailed OO gauge model of an ICI limestone hopper, intended to represent the British Railways Late Crest period. The model is supplied under manufacturer part number ACC3068.
The wagon is built to 1:76.2 scale on 16.5 mm track, with a minimum curve radius of 2 and a weight of 44 g. It features a multi‑piece body and incorporates a detailed interior showing rivets, framing, strapping and supports.
The chassis and bogies are reproduced with separate vacuum brake gear, vacuum hoses, hopper‑door controls, handbrake wheels and brake gear. The wheels are RP25‑110 profile OO gauge wheels fitted with separate brake blocks aligned with the tread, and the model includes metal buffers and removable NEM coupler pockets equipped with mini tension‑lock couplers.
Three bogie styles are offered – original ‘diamond frame’, ‘plate’ bogies with oil‑filled axle boxes and ‘plate’ bogies with roller bearings – together with three body lettering options: small ICI lettering, large ICI lettering, or no ICI lettering. Livery details are correct for the era and the specific wagon being modelled.
